KENTUCKY BOURBON BARREL-AGED JUNMAI SAKE
While sake frequently offers delightful fruit aromas, scents of spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg are uncommon. At Takara Sake USA, we've employed a new technique that brings froward bothe aromas - fruit and spice. After brewing, undiluted sake ages for a period of time in Bourbon barrels, picking up nuances of baking spices and of oak. They meld beatifully with the Junmai sake's naturally delicious notes of fruit.
Aromas of baked peaches and apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and creamy custard waft from the glass. Flavors expand to include melon, vanilla, cardamom, and just a hint of oak.
The mouthfeel is sleek and satisfying. Atouch of very fine texture and appetizing, mouthwatering acidity frame the aromas and flavors of the sake, and will comp[lement relatively full-flavored food, such as toro and well-marbled Wagyu beef.
